Chapter 189

From the black whirlpool, four figures emerged. Sol stood in mid-air like an immovable mountain as he gazed at a familiar figure with squinted eyebrows. As soon as they were awakened they were instantly welcomed by the remaining members of the old god hosts and the two dragon hosts of fire and storm.

Sol and his group stood in mid-air, tightly surrounded by the enemy and their forces but they didn’t seem bothered.

“If this battle should start, none of you will leave this place alive” Sol said with a heavy tone as if he was regretting what may happen next.

“All the pawns are gathered in one place, you will only make things easier for me” Sol added with a calm and emotionless look on his face.

He looked beneath but there was no more reaction from the whirlpool cashing him to frown. Once again he was completely amused by the efforts of the enemy, going as far as to find a way to delay the awakening of his comrades just in a bid to trap him.

Right now he was topless with a skin as clear as jade. At the center of his forehead was a black crystal with his lips and nails painted black he had a strange look. His eyes were like three pupils gathered together per eye, giving him an intimidating look.

“Even in a situation like this, you can speak a lot of crap. I guess you death mages always have a thing in common” God of shield said with a stern look on his face. His cold gaze was pinned on the death mage who was just checking himself out.

“Many of you may consider it rubbish but in reality, it is the truth. You are pawns sent to slow me down for now or maybe hurt me but you are not expected to survive. Deep down in your hearts, you believe this, yet you chose to delude yourself into thinking you mean more when your worth is close to nothing in the eyes of your master” Sol seemed amused by their attempt to defend themselves.

.....

He slowly moved his hands in a circular motion and the world around him seemed to pause. His energy merged with the world, sending ripples across space.

Seeing this the five hosts meant to ambush him were too terrified to make a move. If the death mage was a terror without his inheritance, what the hell is he now with the inheritance and the angel realm cultivation base?

Before anyone knew what was happening, Sol struck down and the black whirlpool burst open. Everyone was stunned by his actions and soon powerful aura belonging to other hosts exploded into the sky, stunning his enemies. The normal Sol would battel all of them to the death without help but this one went as far as to revive his subordinates instead of fighting them.

“We leave now....” Fei said with a stern look as he transformed into a beam of light and shot into the distance.

Quickly the other hosts joined him and fled for their lives without hesitation, leaving Sol alone standing with an indifferent look on his face.

At that moment, three figures emerged from below, appearing behind him. Their cold gaze was pinned on the figures fleeing in the distance and they seemed slightly enraged.

“I didn’t think the great death mage would be the kind to ask for help. What happened?” Gin asked with genuine shock in his eyes.

During the awakening process, the exit was sealed, pinning them down there but it didn’t stop them from seeing what was happening above. They had all subconsciously prepared to watch an epic battle between Sol and the enemy hosts, yet he chose to revive them over battling the enemy.

To Gin, this was a really good sign.

As long as Sol is willing to cooperate with them more and rely on them more, their chances of victory would increase by leaps and bounds.

“Such a battle lacked purpose... why would I go through all that stress just to kill minions and pawns” Sol responded coldly as his eyes squinted while gazing into the distance. He seemed to be able to see what the rest can’t.

“Come with me” Sol responded casually as he stepped forward before shooting into the air like a rocket.

Swoosh!

The rest only shot each other questioning glances before chasing after the death mage.

...........

Peng!

Peng!

Blink’s figure flashed from time to time but no matter where he appeared the enemy seemed to be waiting for him. He was starting to understand the old gods more and more which left him shocked and slightly terrified.

Unlike the new hosts who are tied down by a certain element that they govern, the old gods were different. Their main strength comes from their weapons which grant them access to almost all elements. That explains why the God of sword could easily summon the hell flames from their weapons.

As such, they can create any form of impact on any battlefield. His standing figure gave him a domineering look but that’s all there is to it and even blink couldn’t help but feel intimidated. His gaze was pinned on the man and a frown slowly formed.

“What’s wrong? You wish to flee...” The god of sword stopped midway and his eyes narrowed as if he realized something bad just happened.

His cold gaze shifted past the figure ahead of him and moved to the distance where the black pillar of light emerged from.

“What the hell are they doing? Retreat!” The God of sword quickly gave the retreat order and without waiting for his men to react to his words he turned into a beam of blue light, vanishing into the distance.

Seeing this, Blink was left stunned and confused. He didn’t think these people would flee so easily but it was good news to him. His eyes were followed by the gaze of the sword god and focused on what was in the distance.

“Did something happen over there?” Blink couldn’t help but ask.
